MUKK: A Malaysian Lifestyle Brand With Big Ambitions

MUKK is a Malaysian lifestyle brand that is on a mission to revolutionise the world with well-crafted, sustainable and responsible designs.

In 2015, a group of friends who come from diverse backgrounds (of industrial designers, interior designers and professionally trained craftsman) gathered together in the hopes of creating something different, to make a change. After countless of hurdles, questioning, debating and constructive criticism, in July that same year MUKK was born. MUKK (木) translates to “wood” in Mandarin and it is no surprise that their products utilise wood as the core material, or a combination of wood and other materials.

Co-founded by Sim Chia Yi and Vivian Shi Wei, they created MUKK because they want to nurture the state of design in Malaysia and revolutionise the way we think about objects, sequences, and designs.

Their Planet Luna collection includes a picture frame, a vase and a set of coasters.
